Initially the site will function in Sinhala medium and later we expect to publish articles from English language. LifeSmile provides quality content for the user to interact and educate themselves. Our ultimate objective is to keep the audience happy and make their lives better.
We want our brand to be perceived as we're cool and easy to hang on with and our information is trustworthy and reliable. We want people to feel sense of calm, happiness and relaxation whenever they see our logo. We like something related to happiness or smile.
My Approach
After the initial discovery session, as usual, I started to sketching ideas and lots of different shapes and letters explored to find the perfect combination for the logo. We went through 2 or 3 revision rounds to find the best logomark. After going through a few discussions, we decided to keep the brandmark as simple as possible. For the wordmark, I put a water drop on top of the 'i' to represent the life and overall letter ‘i’ showing a candle shape and it stands for love & peace which are 2 main ingredients for a happy life. Simplicity and versatility were the key factors throughout this process.
